Bechiben – Dry cough

Bechiben  is a calming syrup.  A natural remedy that calms  and counters the irritations of the oral cavity and bronchi. Moreover, it diminishes the stimulus of the cough, both diurnal and nocturnal. A natural food supplement indicated for adults and children.

A natural syrup based on fructose, a fruit sugar with a low glycemic index. Fructose acts also as a natural preservative, excluding the necessity of adding other preservatives.

Corn poppy, Gumweed and Mint are useful for the functionality of the upper respiratory tract. Gumweed has a soothing and calming effect on the oropharyngeal mucosa. Licorice and Althea improve throat health. Elecampane and Licorice improve the fluidity of the bronchial secretion.

Fructose: it is a natural sugar derived from fruit. It has a low glycemic index that enables a lower increase of blood glucose compared to other sugars and it does not affect insulin release. Fructose acts also as a natural preservative, excluding the necessity of adding other preservatives
Corn Poppy: the red petals of the flower contain anthocyanins and alkaloids that are useful to diminish the stimulus of the cough and have a natural calming effect. Moreover, they improve the fluidity of the bronchial secretions.
Licorice: it has anti-inflammatory and healing effects. It diminishes the stimulus of the cough and the spasms of the respiratory tract and it is useful during a whooping cough attack. An overconsumption in predisposed subjects may cause hypertension.
Gumweed: its flowers have a spasmolytic effect on the smooth muscles of the respiratory tract and of the gastro-enteric tract. They also calm the stimulus of the cough. Gumweed has also soothing and calming effects.
Elecampane: its root has a disinfectant effect on the respiratory tract, and it also facilitates expectoration and the fluidity of the bronchial secretions. Moreover, it has hypotensive effects that balance those hypertensives of the licorice.
Althea: the root is rich in mucilages that protect the mucous membranes by stratifying on them, facilitating their normal function. It has also a soothing, calming and anti-inflammatory effect. It improves throat health. 
Mint: it helps the function of the upper respiratory tract. Its leaves contain essential oils, flavonoids and triterpenes. It helps digestion, has an anti-septic effect and it gives relief to the respiratory tract by refreshing it.
