Dioscorea – Female cycle and menopause

Dioscorea is a natural supplement that has a contrast effect on the disorders of the menopause and menstrual cycle. Also improves joint functionality.

Dioscorea: useful to counteract menopause disorders such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, excessive sweating, mood swings and bone density loss; also useful to improve menstrual cycle disorders, improve joint function and decrease inflammatory processes. Also known as wild yam, the dioscorea opposita or Chinese Yam is native to Asia and has been used for millennia by traditional Chinese medicine.
The roots contain numerous active ingredients, such as polyphenols, allantoin, polysaccharides and steroidal saponins, including diosgenin, which has shown similar estrogenic effects and hormonal rebalancing, with a normalization of the estrogen-progesterone ratio.
