D-Mannosio forte is a natural remedy useful in case of urinary tract infections and recurrent and/or acute cystitis. It is also useful in cases of recurrent urinary infections and in case of persistent cystitis. It counteracts the formation of a bacterial biofilm that sets in the bladder and urethra, preventing the adhesion of bacteria to the mucous membranes of the urinary tract and facilitating the expulsion of the same through urine.
Take it after emptying your bladder, with little water. Wait an hour and drink plenty of water away from administration and throughout the day to facilitate the elimination of bacteria. It can be taken for long periods without contraindications. When necessary, the capsules can be opened and the content dissolved in water.
For more detailed information see the More information section.
D-Mannosio (Urinose™): it is a natural sugar made from birch. It is not metabolized but is concentrated directly in the urine, where it binds to bacteria such as Escherichia coli, preventing its attachment to the mucous membranes of the bladder and urinary tract. In this way the bacteria are excreted mechanically with the normal urinary flow. Several studies confirm the ability of D-Mannose to bind to type-1 phimbias of many bacteria such as Escherichia coli and other negative gram, preventing their attachment to the urothelial mucosa.
